She Said Yes: Benjamin and Mikayli
Benjamin and Mikayli met in the land down under-Australia! They were both serving missions for their church at the time, and just became friends. Even though the time came for Benjamin to fly back to the states, he never forgot about Mikayli. They started writing each other every week, for the next ten months.
When Mikayli flew back to her home state of Idaho, it didn’t take long for Benjamin to ask her on a date. To Mikayli, they were just friends; but Benjamin liked her a “whooolleeee lot!” Benjamin tried (twice) to make things official between them, but Mikayli insisted (twice) that they just stay friends. Like all good love stories, though, Benjamin did not give up!
After many more “just friends” dates, Mikayli realized she wanted more than just friendship. They spent more and more time together, traveling, exploring, and making memories. After stargazing together, Benjamin really understood how much he loved Mikayli. Pretty soon, he decided to be with her forever!
To commemorate their beautiful love story, they added some spectacular details to Mikayli’s ring. On the side of the ring you’ll notice an opal-the national gemstone of Australia, reminding them of where they met, and the stars on the band are a tribute to their sentimental night of stargazing.
